'Permeable Pavements' with Dr. Liv Haselbach

Lamar University is pleased to offer a lecture by Dr. Liv Haselbach, Chair and Professor of Civil and Environmental Engineering. Dr. Haselbach introduces what civil engineers and environmental engineers do, discussing the history of the field and its importance today. She demonstrates the use of two types of permeable pavements on the Lamar University campus that help mitigate flooding during storms.

Prior to joining academia, Dr. Haselbach was a practicing engineer and a LEED AP. In 2019, she was named Engineer of the Year by the Sabine chapter of the Texas Society of Professional Engineers.
